Huai Kwang cops moved over casino raid | Bangkok Post: news

The acting chief of Huai Khwang police station and three other senior officers were on Sunday transferred to inactive posts pending investigation after soldiers raided a gambling den and caught 32 gamblers on Saturday night. The transfer order was signed by Pol Lt Gen Sanit Mahathavorn, commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau. It transferred the officers to the MPB’s operations centre for 30 days, effective immediately, or until further orders. The first two of the four officers facing transfer were originally attached to the MPB’s Division 1 and Samsen station. But they were moved to Huai Kwang temporarily after the Huai Khwang station chief, a deputy station chief, and two police inspectors were abruptly transferred to inactive posts pending an investigation that followed a raid on Nataree massage parlor on Ratchadaphisek Road in June in which more than 120 sex workers were detained.
